Frequently Asked Questions

Everything international patients need to know about accessing world-class healthcare in Beijing.

💰 Costs & Services

How much do your services cost?
We charge a transparent service coordination fee that varies by service type. A basic appointment booking starts from ¥500, while full-day escort and translation services are priced per diem. We are happy to provide a custom quote. The hospital's own medical fees are billed separately and are typically covered by your international insurance.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We provide a complete and itemised fee quote before any engagement begins. Our coordination fee, hospital fees, and any additional costs (transport, accommodation assistance) are all disclosed upfront. There are no surprises.

🏦 Insurance

Do I need international health insurance?
While not mandatory to use our services, we strongly recommend having comprehensive international health insurance when visiting Beijing's top hospitals. International departments and VIP clinics at public hospitals charge significantly more than standard rates. We can advise you on whether your existing policy provides sufficient coverage.
Can I use my international insurance at Chinese public hospitals?
Yes. All hospitals we work with accept major international insurance providers including Bupa, Cigna, Allianz, AXA, MSH, and Now Health. We assist with pre-authorisation and can arrange direct billing so that you do not pay out-of-pocket. Specific direct billing agreements vary by hospital — we will confirm your insurer's eligibility as part of your initial consultation.
What if my insurer is not on your list?
Contact us and we'll assess your specific policy. If direct billing is not available, we can assist with all documentation required for a reimbursement claim, including itemised receipts, medical reports, and official translations.

🗣️ Language & Communication

Do the doctors speak English?
At the international departments of the hospitals we navigate, senior physicians often have international training and basic English language ability. However, we always recommend using our professional medical interpreter to ensure perfect accuracy — medicine is not the place for miscommunication.
Are your services available in other languages besides English?
Currently, our primary coordination language is English. We also have coordinators who speak Russian, Arabic, French, and Korean. Please inform us of your language preference when making an enquiry and we will assign the most appropriate coordinator.

📅 Booking & Process

How far in advance should I book?
For expert-level specialist consultations at top hospitals, we recommend booking at least 5–10 business days in advance. For urgent or semi-urgent cases, we have a rapid-response process and can often arrange same-day or next-day appointments through our established hospital contacts.
What happens after my hospital visit?
We provide a written English summary of your diagnosis, treatment plan, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions. If you require ongoing care or are returning abroad, we coordinate with your home physician and ensure your medical records are properly translated and transmitted.
Can you arrange emergency or urgent appointments?
Yes. We have a 24-hour emergency coordination line. For life-threatening emergencies, please call 120 (Beijing Emergency Services) first. Once stable, we can coordinate all subsequent specialist consultations and inpatient transfers.

✈️ International Patients Travelling to Beijing

Do you assist with medical visas?
Yes. For international patients travelling specifically for medical treatment, we provide an official invitation letter from the hospital, assist with the medical visa application process, and coordinate accommodation near the hospital for extended stays.
Can you recommend accommodation near the hospitals?
Yes. We maintain a curated list of serviced apartments and hotels near each of Beijing's top hospitals, suitable for patients and accompanying family members. We can arrange short-term or extended stays depending on your treatment schedule.
